 Jolieanne Driscoll

is the Hospital Relations Coordinator of the New England Organ Bank.

 Claire Aspen-Sullivan
is the recipient of a double lung transplant. Together, Jolieanne and Claire will share the story of the role of the organ bank and Claire’s personal experience as a transplant recipient.
 Edie Ann Brous, RN, Esq.

is a nurse and attorney in solo practice in New York City and the coordinator of a legal clinic. She is a frequent lecturer to nurses about the legal aspects of nursing. She will discuss the misconceptions of nurses being uninsured in her topic, “Why Nurses Need Malpractice Insurance: Myths and Reality”. She was recently published in the American Journal of Nursing, May 2008 issue.

 Joseph Blansfield, RN, MS, NP
is the Trauma Program Manager at the Boston Medical Center and was the Deputy Commander of a combat support hospital at three locations in Iraq for 12 months. He will be discussing the military medical operations in a combat zone and the clinical practice guidelines learned from war wounds.
 Donna M. White, RN, PhD, CS, CADAC
is a public health addiction specialist and frequent lecturer on many issues involving addiction. Her topic will be the spirit of nursing which will explore the roots of nursing and what the future holds for our profession.

Room rates are $139.00 per night with a charge of $10.00 for each additional guest. The charge for a rollaway bed is $10.00. The above rates are subject to prevailing local and state taxes currently at 12.45% and $.30 per guest room per night for City Assessment Business Improvement District. Reservation cut off date is September 9, 2008. The reservation number is 781.229.6565 or 800.228.9290. The hotel has parking on the front and side of the hotel.
 Refund Policy
Requests for refunds will be accepted in writing until September 15, 2008. A $25.00 administration fee will be deducted from each registration refund. No refunds will be granted after September 15, 2008. On-site registration is contingent upon space.
 Chemical Sensitivity
Attendees are requested to avoid wearing scented personal products when attending the 2008 MNA Convention. Scents may trigger responses in those with chemical sensitivity.
 Contact Hours

Continuing nursing education contact hours will be awarded by the Massachusetts Nurses Association.

The MNA is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

To successfully complete a program and receive contact hours, you must: 1) sign in, 2) be present for the entire time period of the sessions and 3) complete the evaluation.

From North I-95
Exit 33B turn right on ramp and keep left to stay on ramp. Turn left onto local roads and another left on Burlington Mall Road.

From South I-93
Exit 37B onto I-95 then follow directions above.

From West and South I-95 and Mass Turnpike I-90
At exit 14 turn right onto ramp and keep left onto I-95. Exit 32AB turn right onto ramp stay
left keep on ramp. Take right onto Middlesex Tpke and right onto Mall Road.

To Café Escadrille
Take 128/I-95 to Exit 33A "Route 3 South - Winchester." Go less than 1/2 mile on Route 3 South (Cambridge Street). Café Escadrille will be on your left.

Pass the building and turn left on Ray Avenue (just before Bickford's). Immediately turn left into the parking area for Café Escadrille.
