Summary of intent of proposed bylaw calling for MNA disaffiliation from ANA

The Cabinet for Labor Relations and the Congress on Health and Safety have submitted and endorsed a proposed change in the MNA Bylaws that would call for the MNA to disaffiliate from the American Nurses Association and retain the portion of MNA dues that is contributed to the American Nurses Association for use by the MNA to enhance services to its members in Massachusetts.

Note: The summary above is not the actual bylaw proposal. The actual bylaw language, along with a rationale for its enactment, is undergoing final review by the Bylaws Committee and the MNA parliamentarian. Click here to view the full text of the bylaw, along with all the other proposed bylaw/changes, in a PDF format.
