One of the most common questions that is asked is
"Where do my MNA dues go?" Below is a breakdown of
how dues are apportioned by both amount and percentage. But even
this does not tell it all!
As a constituent member of the American Nurses Association,
MNA collects dues and distributes them to a number of accounts.
These include:
ANA: $85
MNA
- General members: $195.50
- Labor members: $247.50
Districts, each of which has its own dues structures
- District 1: $21
- District 2: $10
- District 3: $10
- District 4: $25
- District 5: $30
Labor relations fees: $12
- General Relief Fund: $1
- Assessment fee: $11
Service charges: $10.40, paid by installment and
payroll deduction payers only
Payroll deduction administration fees: $52
Local unit dues, if applicable, are set by the local
units
Dues from Unit 7 and Private Sector Health Care
Professionals and agency fee payers are allocated to all of the
same accounts with the exception of ANA and District Dues.
Every payment you send to MNA is allocated by the
computer system to these accounts each month allowing you to make
one payment and still get the dues to where they need to go.
