New TV Ad Provides Patients' Perspective on Need for Safe Patient Limits

H. 2059, The Patient Safety Act, was recently voted out of the Joint Committee on Public Health. The Act calls upon the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to set safe limits on nurses’ patient assignments, prohibits mandatory overtime, and also includes initiatives to increase nursing faculty and nurse recruitment. As part of our continuing educational campaign, The Coalition to Protect Massachusetts Patients and the MNA has launched a new television ad about the current state of patient care and the need for safe patient limits. The ad is running on all the major TV networks and it can also be viewed at any time on YouTube.
