Grassroots Organizer/Community Outreach/Region 4
MNA is seeking an individual to advance the legislative, public policy and political goals and objectives of the Association. This position primarily involves “in-the-field” organizing of 3rd party groups in Region 4. The successful candidate will be an effective public speaker with experience in grassroots organizing, community outreach and legislative/political campaigns and have a proven track record in outreach/activism educating and motivating groups for political/legislative action. Strong verbal/written communication skills and competency with Windows/MS Office are required. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with emphasis on government/politics and/or public policy. Initiate or respond to regulatory and legislative activities on
the state and national level related to nursing practice and workplace
practice issues, health policy consultation and education. Provide
expertise to MNA structural units and local bargaining units. Mass.
licensed RN; min. 5 yrs. current nursing practice exp.; Master's
Deg. in Nursing or related field pref. Documented exp. in public
policy and regulation. Pref. grant exp. as well as membership organization
exp.
