NYSNA Seeks Volunteers for Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts
Your nursing skills are urgently needed to help with Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. Volunteer opportunities are available seven days a week, for either 4 or 8 hour shifts.
- On Staten Island, nurses are staffing a NYSNA mobile clinic, administering tetanus boosters, and going door-to-door to conduct assessments of patients in need.
- On Coney Island, nurses are staffing temporary medical field clinics.
- On the Rockaways, nurses are staffing field clinics and doing door-to-door assessments.
- On Long Island, nurses are volunteering with the Red Cross.
