A Vigil to prevent the opening of the Level 4 lab and Category A Agents(Agents which cause the most deadly diseases known to humans for which there are no cures and are NOT of Public Health Significance) being researched at The National Emerging Infectious Disease Laboratory (NEIDL) at BU Medical Center will take place on Feb. 22, 2013 (Friday) at Blackstone Park in the South End of Boston at 8:30 AM.
"WALK FOR A NEW SPRING" sponsored by The New England Peace Pagoda will join Safety Net and the Coalition to Stop the Biolab. We will walk from the Park to the Lab which is located on Albany St.across from Boston Medical Center. The Vigil will end at 10AM.
Blackstone Park is located in the South End of Boston. We will meet at the corner of Washington and West Newton Street. The #1 Bus runs along Mass. Ave from Cambridge to the South End. At Washington St. you can take the Silver Line East bound toward the Cathedral and get off at West Newton St.
