Nurses Launch Campaign Today to Educate the Public About a New Law Guaranteeing Mass. Hospital Patients One on One Care from RNs in All ICUs
Here’s a great photo (see below) from the MNA’s Annual Clinical Conference at the DCU Center in Worcester this morning, as we kick off our “ICU Law: One Nurse to One Patient Sticker Campaign” to educate the public that if and when their loved ones are in the ICU, they should expect one on one attention from an RN – it’s the law. Under the law, an ICU nurse can only take a second patient if and when she feels safe to do so. The law became effective last October, yet many hospitals across the state are willfully violating the law. More than 600 nurses from across the Commonwealth are attending the conference
Next week, ICU nurses across the state will be wearing stickers with this message to work to send this important message.
