Job Description

The Caring for Kids Program is a unique model of home care for medically fragile children and their families. These children have a wide range of diagnoses and skilled nursing needs. The nurse will work directly with the physician and families to manage their disease process in the home setting. This may include pain/disease management, medication teaching, chemotherapy, and use and care of vascular access devices, P.I.C.C. and central lines.

*Includes on-call rotation

Qualifications

Required

At least one year of recent pediatric and/or oncology experience in acute care or similar program in a community health setting.
Proficient technical skills with vascular access devices, central and P.I.C.C. lines.

Preferred

Chemotherapy and/or Oncology Certification a plus
