Worcester School Nurses
The Worcester School Nurses are continuing negotiations with management and have held several successful and well-attended membership meetings. They currently are planning a “meet and greet” with local public officials to educate them about the role and value of school RNs.
West Springfield School Nurses
The West Springfield School Nurses have ratified a three-year agreement that includes a 3 percent across the board increase in year one of the contract, a 3.5 percent increase in year two and a 2 percent increase in the third year. The bottom two steps of the pay scale were eliminated and two new steps were added at the top. In addition a bonus in the amount of $300 for nurses with a bachelor’s degree and a $400 bonus for nurses with a master’s degree was added to the contract, as was a new $100 annual clothing allowance.
Providence Behavioral Health Hospital
A Providence nurse who was unjustly terminated in August 2008 has been reinstated.
Burbank Hospital
The new contracts are scheduled to be distributed in March at an open meeting.
