The Vaccine Information Statements (VIS) for both the inactivated and live, intranasal H1N1 influenza vaccines are now available for download from the CDC at http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/pubs/vis/default.htm#download.
Please remember that it is a federal requirement for all providers (including public clinics, private provider offices, commercial vaccinators, and pharmacies) to provide the most recent VIS before administering each dose of vaccine (NCVIA: 42 U.S.C. Section 300aa-26). VISs provide risk-benefit information. Each patient or parent/legal representative receiving vaccine must receive a copy of the VIS prior to administration of vaccine.
