Guidance on Waiver or Modification of Federal Requirements Under Section 1135 of the Social Security Act
Attached are federal waiver documents that Massachusetts hospitals will be permitted to follow in the event they activate their disaster protocol. The waivers affect HIPAA, Emtala, use of alternate space in emergencies.
