Cape Cod & Falmouth Hospital Nurses’ Petition
For Safe Staffing and Working Conditions
To Ensure Quality Patient Care
The undersigned registered nurses and their supporters call upon Cape Cod Health Care management and Board of Trustees to negotiate in good faith for a fair contract that will allow this hospital to recruit and retain the registered nurse staff needed to provide the quality patient care our patients deserve. Specifically, the nurses need:
- Improved RN staffing levels to ensure patients receive the care they need when they need it.
- Strict limits on the use of mandatory overtime as a staffing mechanism.
- A modest pay increase in keeping with settlements reached by other hospitals in the market place, and in recognition of the posting of record profits over the last two years by the hospital.
