As nurses, you have the most powerful, trusted voice in health care. But you must speak out. You know what is right for your patients and for the public good. But you must share that knowledge. One of your most effective tools is your right to vote. Exercising that right is easier than ever.
A new Massachusetts law and an online tool created by the Secretary of the Commonwealth allow residents to register to vote from anywhere. It’s as simple as pulling out your cell phone. If you have a valid driver’s license, learner’s permit, or non-driver ID issued by the RMV containing your signature, visit www.sec.state.ma.us/OVR.
The public loves you. They depend on nurses to stand up for health and justice. Make your voice heard! The last day to register to vote in the March 1, 2016 Massachusetts Presidential Primaries, or to make changes to your registration, is Wednesday, Feb. 10.
