Brigham and Women’s Hospital nurses will vote Monday, June 13 to authorize a one-day strike. Instead of respecting nurses and providing a fair contract settlement, the hospital has already indicated its intent to lock out the nurses for five days, utilizing scab nurses by contracting with a replacement worker agency.
We are familiar with some of these agencies and are aware of a number of dangerous patient outcomes as a result of hospitals using these mercenary nurses. Be prepared for these agencies to solicit you as they attempt to undermine your fellow union members.
Please contact the MNA if you receive a call or mailing from an agency. Stand with Brigham nurses so they can get the fair contract they deserve!
Email bwhinfo@mnarn.org with any relevant information.
Thank you!
