Harvard University dining hall workers with UNITE HERE Local 26 went on strike Wednesday, Oct. 5 for affordable health care and fair wages (www.local26.org/harvard). Nurses are supporting them at locations around the Boston area.
PICKET LOCATIONS: The closest locations for MNA members at Cambridge and Somerville hospitals are:
A) Annenberg Hall (looks like Hogwarts Castle) at 1785 Cambridge St., Cambridge
B) Harvard Law School: 1585 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge
C) Any of the other several Harvard Square locations
Closest location for members at Brigham and Tufts is the Harvard School of Public Health at 645 Huntington Ave., Boston.
TIMES: Local 26 is especially interested in support in the mornings. However, they’d love to have our support any time of the day. The picket lines will run daily from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
