Pacheco, Haddad planning Statehouse rally for Taunton State Hospital
BOSTON —
State Sen. Marc Pacheco, D-Taunton, and House Speaker Pro Tempore Patricia Haddad, D-Somerset, have scheduled a March 22 rally at the Statehouse to oppose the Patrick Administration’s plans to close Taunton State Hospital.
Several legislators and representatives from the National Alliance on Mental Illness, mental health advocacy organizations, state labor leaders, consumer organizations mental health patients and others have been invited to participate.
The rally is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. in The Gardner auditorium in the Statehouse.
