Region 1 Virtual Offering: Management of Bloodborne Pathogen (BBP) Exposures

$25Description: Nurses, first responders, and other healthcare workers are at risk of contracting bloodborne diseases. The three most common bloodborne pathogens workers are exposed to during their daily activities while caring for patients are human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), hepatitis B virus (HBV), and hepatitis C virus (HCV). This program will discuss the currently known best practices to effectively care for oneself and others following a bloodborne pathogen(s) exposure.

Location: This program is a live “Virtual Continuing Educational Program” offered via Zoom.
Fee: Member/Associate Member, free. However, a $25 placeholder fee, which will be returned upon attendance, is required to complete registration. Non-Members: A $95 charge is required; call for registration.
Continuing Education Credits: Will be provided
Note: Physical therapists who attend this program will be eligible to receive continuing education hours (CEH) following successful submission of program requirements and post-program evaluation. Information provided during this program should be used within the scope of practice for physical therapists.
