Region 5 Program: The Nurse’s Role in Organ Donation

Description: With the need for life-saving organs being more critical than ever, nurses play a key role in organ donation and have the unique opportunity to care for both the dying patient and support the patient’s family. This experience allows for the nurse to improve countless lives through the gifts of organs, tissue, and eye donations. Case studies and assessment skills required to screen for potential donors will be discussed.

Fee: Member/Associate Member, free. However, a $25 placeholder fee, which will be returned upon attendance, is required to complete registration. Non-Members: A $95 charge is required; call for registration.
