Workers’ Compensation in the Existing Healthcare Environment

$25Description: The result of a work-related injury or disease can alter a worker’s life. Nurses and other healthcare professionals need to know the typical barriers in accessing timely Workers’ Compensation-related healthcare, as well as current legal and union protections. The presentation will utilize case studies during the discussion to focus on the necessary actions individuals must take when reporting and documenting an injury to avoid greater possible negative health and economic impacts.
