Join MCNP November 14 as Massachusetts recognizes National NP Week

Dear Colleague,

As you may already be aware, November 13-19 th is National Nurse Practitioner week. In response to a request from the MCNP leadership, Governor Deval Patrick will be formally acknowledging this with a signed proclamation.

Senator Steven Baddour, (D-Methuen) Vice Chair Senate Committee on Ways and Means, will be presenting the MCNP with a signed copy of the proclamation in a ceremony at the State House on Monday November 14th at 1 p.m.

The MCNP will be inviting legislators to attend and are planning a program which will highlight key messages from the IOM (Institute of Medicine) Report on the Future of Nursing and the role of advanced practice nurses.

This is a great honor and tremendous opportunity for us to educate our legislators and share the many contributions NPs make in the provision of health care services to the citizens of the Commonwealth.

Additional details will be forthcoming in the days ahead and we are urging all NPs who live or work in the Greater Boston area to attend if possible.

We apologize for the short notice but hope you will be able to arrange your schedule so that you can join us at this exciting event.
